The Ombudsman comprises three jurists of prestige who have no professional ties with either Italiana Assicurazioni or Reale Mutua:

  • Carlo Luda di Cortemiglia

The facility is open to individuals (for appeals up to € 60,000), and associations and companies (for appeals up to € 160,000); for information about when to submit appeals, reference should be made to the regulations.

After acknowledging receipt of the application and assigning a number to the case, the Ombudsman examines the appeal and issues its decision in the shortest possible time.

While Policyholders may reject the Ombudsman's decision if they disagree, such decisions are always binding on Italiana Assicurazioni.

The Policyholders' Ombudsman is the only service of its kind in Italy, exclusive to Reale Mutua and Italiana Assicurazioni. It is a concrete example of the company's attention to the needs of its Members/Customers/Policyholders and commitment to transparency.
